Rev up your engines and join the San Bernardino County Library for the inaugural Read, Write & Cruise Car Show on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Hesperia Branch Library.

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of historic Route 66, this family-friendly event will bring together automotive enthusiasts, community members, and library supporters for a day filled with classic cars, hot rods, off-road vehicles, live entertainment, vendors, food, prizes, and more.

Whether you’re showcasing your vehicle or attending as a spectator, Read, Write & Cruise offers a unique opportunity to celebrate the culture, history, and spirit of America’s most iconic highway.

We are rolling out our inaugural Read, Write & Cruise Car Show, inviting car enthusiasts, families, and Route 66 fans to join a celebration honoring the 100th anniversary of the legendary Mother Road.

This community event is sure to be a “wheel-y” good time, featuring an impressive lineup of classic cars, custom builds, and unique vehicles that showcase the passion and creativity of local automotive enthusiasts. Vehicle owners are encouraged to register now and cruise into this historic celebration by putting their prized rides in the spotlight.

The Read, Write & Cruise Car Show will offer something for everyone, including live entertainment from the Arena Red Band, tasty eats from local food vendors, interactive activities with San Bernardino County departments, and more family-friendly fun. Guests can enjoy a day filled with horsepower, history, and community connections as we celebrate a century of memories made along America’s iconic highway.
