What is the Library Teen Leadership Program (LTLP)?
The Library Teen Leadership Program is San Bernardino County Library’s teen program that focuses on developing the next generation of leaders through
impactful skill-building and volunteer opportunities. The Library aims to create a safe and fun space to learn new skills, grow as leaders, and make friends along the way.
The LTLP is a requirement for all teen volunteers participating at all 32 San Bernardino County Branch Libraries.
Who can participate?
Teens between the ages of 14 and 17 throughout San Bernardino County are invited to complete an application and submit it to their local branch library for evaluation. Successful candidates will be notified within 4-6 weeks.
Why Join?
This one-of-a-kind opportunity provides teens with an incomparable leadership and development experience that will prepare them for college, future employment, and adulthood. Teens will be able to cite this leadership experience on college and job applications!
Training Topics Include:
- How to interview for a job
- Leadership and integrity
- How to manage conflict
- Resolving conflict
- Dress for success
- AND MORE!
Monthly Meetings Include:
- Teen craft
- Social hour
- Teen games
- Teambuilding challenges
To participate, teens must attend one meeting per month at one of the
following library branch locations:
- Apple Valley Branch Library – 14901 Dale Evans Pkwy., Apple Valley
- Chino Hills Branch Library – 14020 City Center Dr., Chino Hills
- Crestline Branch Library – 24105 Lake Gregory Dr., Crestline
- Fontana Branch Library – 8437 Sierra Ave., Fontana
- Hesperia Branch Library – 9650 Seventh Ave., Hesperia
- Highland Branch Library – 7863 Central Ave., Highland
- Phelan Branch Library – 9800 Clovis Rd., Phelan
- Yucca Valley Branch Library – 57271 29 Palms Hwy., Yucca Valley
Teens may select any date, time, and location, but must attend one meeting per month.*
