Pirates Event
Tuesday, September 30 from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Argh! Pirates have taken over the Chino Hills Library! Come dressed in your best pirate gear to join our swashbuckling Library crew! Treasure, games, and crafts are sure to be abound for every 15 items checked out! Be there or we’ll have ye walk the plank!

Adult Paint Night

Fall Slime Party
Tuesday, October 7 at 4:30 PM

Get ready for a squishy, slimy good time this fall at the library! Join us for a fun and creative slime craft session where you can make your very own fall-inspired slime. With autumn colors, glitter, and scents, you’ll craft the perfect seasonal slime to take home. This hands-on activity is great for kids and families who love to get creative. You won’t want to miss this wonderful program where you can practice your reading skills on nonjudgmental listeners: dogs! Therapy dogs will be at the library while you choose a book to read aloud, and they love hearing stories.

Basic Computer Class

Adults are invited to an introduction to common computer tasks, from how to use a mouse and keyboard, to basic typing, internet, and email functions.

Monster Mayhem Event

All items on tables will be on sale. All funds raised by the Friends of the Library Book Sale are invested back into the local branch library to better serve the community.

Holiday Humbugs Event
Tuesday, December 9 from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Tis the season to spread cheer at our “Holiday Humbug” event, one book at a time! Bring your friends and family to enjoy the festivities with cheerful games, dazzling face painting, and magical crafts. For every 15 items checked out during the event, you will receive a special gift and an opportunity ticket to win more gifts. Whimsical wonders await—see you at the library! Plus, don’t miss a special visit from Santa himself—bring your wish list and take a photo with Santa!

Holiday Scavenger Hunt
Sunday, December 14 to Saturday, December 20 during branch open hours

Find the different holiday symbols, they are hidden throughout the children’s section of the library! Pick up your scavenger hunt list at the children’s desk. There will be a special incentive for those that complete all tasks!

Friends of the Library Meeting
Thursday, December 18 from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM

Friends of the Library board and committee members generally meet once a month to conduct business. If you are interested in volunteering to help support library programming and collections, membership applications and brochures are available at your local branch.
